There are two ways to access Worldremit. You can either use your web browser or you can use their app. Their app is available on the Google Play store for Androids and on App Store for iPhones.
- Submit your contact details and password
You’ll input your email address and your phone number, you’ll also create a password. You’ll be sent a verification link in your email. Follow the instructions to verify your account.
- Upload more details
You’ll upload a picture of a valid ID card (government-issued ID, passport, driving license).

How to open a domiciliary account in Nigeria
If you’re receiving money from abroad through Worldremit, you’ll receive the money in USD. To be able to receive US dollars, you’ll have to open a domiciliary with your bank. How to receive money via cash pickup in Nigeria
If the payment method your sender chose is this, there are certain things you need to consider so you’ll be able cash out your money.
- Take precaution
Make sure the name you send to your client appears the same way on your ID card.
- Get reference number
After the sender completes the transaction, both of you will receive a WorldRemit reference number
- Pickup the cash
Go to your bank and pick up the cash. At the bank, you’ll be presented a form to fill. After filling it, your transaction will be processed and the cash will be handed to you. Since you’re are in Nigeria and the official currency is Naira, you’ll change your money from Naira to Dollar.
